Firstly I'm so pleased to present this album to you. The original format for most of the songs was conceived whilst making a pilgrimage to Ireland in 2001. From the Streets of Dublin to the Hills Of Donegal to the occasional 'Pub Visit', seeing old friends and meeting new ones, cherished memories are forever etched.
Hearty thanks of course to F'inbar and Sheila Furey for looking after me. Thank you for "My Emmigration Song" an anthem dear to the heart which I've longed to record - Courtesy 'Banshee Records' - IRELAND. From the album "The Wind And The Rain".
My dear friend John Williams has captured the true essence of 'The Roses", I thank you for the wonderful Banjo score, a cracker mate!
My sincere thanks to Dieter Hauptmann whom I applaud for his patience, effort and technical know how, Dieter's addition of the other instruments has enhanced all that I've imagined for the album. - It's been a pleasure to work with you. And Ally, thanks for your contributions and keeping the kettle on.
To one and all, I sincerely hope you enjoy the album and ask that as we continue our journeys along the highway of life may you all take that very special time to yourself, go quietly and keep smelling them roses.

Dean
